It’s named for the French surrealist — and the seed of the brand was planted when its founder discovered a cache of 10,000 vintage cufflinks in a Paris flea market in 1987 — but Duchamp is a British brand, through and through. Launched in London in 1989, the label got its start supplying luxury men’s accessories to the likes of Harrods, Selfridges, and Harvey Nichols. By the '90s, silk ties and eveningwear had entered the mix. Now, Duchamp makes a full line of menswear ranging from crisp dress shirts to trousers and polos, but smart accessories and formalwear — shot through with just a touch of British irreverence — remain at the core of the brand’s offerings.
