Nau (pronounced “now”) was founded in 2005 with the aim of producing responsibly made clothing that’s functional enough to handle the demands of the outdoors and stylish enough for the discerning urbanite. The Portland, Oregon-based label launched their first line of men’s gear in 2007, and after a few years and a few shakeups — in 2008 they partnered with a like-minded company called Horny Toad — they’re still doing just that. With designs that pair modern, minimalist aesthetics with performance elements like wind/water resistance and articulated tailoring for ease of movement, Nau’s sustainable clothing is one of those wonderful instances where looking good and doing good go hand in hand.
