But, since 2010, NY-based label Onia has been spinning out trunks that (gasp!) fit well — like a pair of shorts you’d wear above water. Onia’s trademarks are comfortable Japanese fabrics, a slim cut, lengths that end above (but not too high up) the knee, and a color palette filled with rich reds, deep blues, and subtle khakis.
