Akiss Paraskevopoulos is well versed in a range of different photographic styles. He can excel in the dreamy and light-filled as equally as in the real and unprocessed. But the other thing we always look forward to in Akiss’ work is his ability to bring out a fierceness, a raw sensuality, in any subject.

Akiss Paraskevopoulos is expert at creating a dream-like quality in his photos; like the foggy mist that shrouds the memory of a dream as it fades away, but whose cloudy trail you cling to so as to not entirely forget. It’s in sunlight filtering through clouds, in the distant colouring of the images. Here Akiss shoots the beautifully pixie cropped Meagan Hughes for yet another…

Akiss Paraskevopoulos has a particular style that straddles the space between natural innocence and sensual beauty. He has a knack for capturing mood over detail, making his portraits – like this one of Annely Bouma – particularly beautiful in spite of (or perhaps even because of?) the minimal makeup and styling.

Fabio Novas and Giorgos Nikolaides are styled with a purposefully rugged bent by Christos Michailides in the February 2011 edition of Men’s Health Greece, however possibly even more noticeable is the audacious nature of the shoot. Photographed in motion by Akiss Paraskevopoulos must have taken some skill as the models weave and jump between stairwells in a seaside setting. This is one shoot that does…

Update: We’ve fixed up the broken photo that was included within the pictorial. You can now see the full pictorial at the bottom of this article. We’ve seen fashion mix with sport of late, but this shoot of boxing in bikinis by Akiss Paraskevopoulos really does take the amalgamation to a different place. With (presumably) simulated punches and models collapsing against the boxing ring, the…

Given the sumptuous detailing they offer up, it’s hard to imagine Theia’s corsets being worn as anything but outerwear? Captured by Fashionising.com’s contributing photographer Akiss Paraskevopoulos and modelled by Elena, this latest photo shoot gives an old fashioned feel to an old fashioned garment that sits somewhere between vintage photography and a voyeuristic study.

Several times a year it’s an issue that raises its head, thus, of late, we’ve turned our focus to the role of Photoshop in fashion. Fashionising.com’s personal take is that Photoshop is akin to make-up: a necessary part of the process, but one that can easily be abused. By way of comments and correspondence many of you agreed – regular contributor Akiss Paraskevopoulos, however, took…

You don’t need much to get a great shoot out of Akiss Paraskevopoulos: just a gorgeous model (in this case it’s Brazilian Rebeca Campelo), some simple outfits, and – well – a camera.

If you don’t know the 1974 film The Night Porter for its controversial story line and confronting themes then odds are you’ll at least know it for the iconic imagery of Charlotte Rampling in little but an SS officer’s cap and suspenders. The latest shoot by Akiss Paraskevopoulos draws inspiration from the said imagery – starring model Sarah Bledsoe in biker style leathers and suspenders,…
