Another take on old media trying new media, and this time from an Australian print publication. Harper’s Bazaar Australia have shot model Bambi Northwood-Blyth as their Christmas / December 2010 cover model and there’s a behind-the-scenes cum interview look at the process to accompany its release.

Arguably the Australian model of the moment to remain largely in the country (like those in the entertainment industry, Australia’s models depart its shores as soon as they can find better paying work elsewhere), Bambi Northwood-Blyth has been picked up by stylestalker to be the face of their Desert Fox look book. A ‘making of’ video for the look book has been released giving you…

She was Australia’s break-out model for 2010 whose international presence on the spring 2011 catwalks still remains dwarfed by her presence on advertising in Australia – it’s hard to walk 10 metres down a shopping strip without seeing her snapped for the look book of one brand or another. And it’s for this reason that her personal sense of off duty model style seems all…

One of Australia’s most prolific models, Bambi Northwood-Blyth, is flying the country’s flag at this year’s New York Fashion Week. I can’t say I’m a fan of the cropped jacket being amongst this look, but the girl with the captivating eyebrows certainly hit the right note with exposed pockets on her short shorts and nautical stripes.

New York Fashion Week has only just started, and already I’m in love. The first designer to steal my heart – and potentially my purse – is Jen Kao. It’s plush luxury bohemian meets little Indian girl when Bambi Northwood-Blyth plays in a grassy field for Grazia. And how perfect: Bambi’s strong brows and textured hair styled against furs, paisley prints, and chunky turquoise jewels.

Some days, you should forget about the weather; and what you have to do, and where you have to go. Ask simply: who do I want to be today? And to create that fashion fantasy takes inspiration. So here it is, today’s dress-up theme: Cowboys & Indians. What to look for Fringed suede, fringed suede, fringed suede. And more fringed suede. On boots, jackets, bags…

Unashamedly sexy and impeccably detailed, Aje‘s Winter 2010 collection has us enthralled. It has all the sequins and leathers of Decarnin’s Balmain but keeps a tad more to the understated, not-impossibly-priced side. The collection lookbook also has it’s specific merits: namely fantastic close-up shots which draw you into the detail and give you an appreciation for the quality of the garments; and rising star Bambi…
