After it was goodbye between Carine Roitfeld and Conde Nast, the world wondered what she’d do next. Not one to take a break, Roitfeld launched her own CR Fashion Book. But if that wasn’t enough to keep her busy, Hearst Magazine’s have now snapped her up as the Global Fashion Director of Harper’s Bazaar.

The Kate Upton phenomena continues, with the news that Upton is the cover star of Carine Roitfeld’s first CR Fashion Book. Roitfeld has themed the issue around ‘rebirth’, stating that the birth of her first Grandchild put babies on her brain.
It’s a classic Carine combination: something a bit casual and something distinctively dressy, worn together in unlikely harmony. For Paris fashion week it was Givenchy’s glittering sequin skirt pared back with an dark teal silk shirt.
The cover of the fall 2012 / zero issue of CR, Carine Roitfeld’s forthcoming magazine, has been released along with a number of mock-up layouts from the zero issue. You can see the cover below, and the mock up photos after the break.
So adept at applying her smokey black ‘panda eyes’ is Carine Roitfeld that little else is needed to make her trademark beauty look stand out.
