When we spoke to Redken’s Guido Palau backstage at Prada’s spring show, he described Prada’s faux bang hairstyle as a way to make the classic french twist “more boyish”. H&M calls it “Spring’s Key Pieces”, and their spring / summer 2013 look book does offer up plenty of those – especially if you’re inclined to draw your inspiration from the fashions of the 1960s. Starring a fringed Magdalena Frackowiak, the look book brings skinny cuts and graphic black and white prints together with edgier, more androgynous leather jackets and collared shirts.

Her shoot in Pani’s September 2012 issue doesn’t leave transformations up to styling: she slips into each of the masculine and feminine roles with utter conviction.
