Leather muzzles, collars, and fisherman’s nets have all the implications of creatures tied and bound and captive, thanks to Rebecca Richmond’s fetishist styling. But it’s one particular shot of Niklas Hoejlund‘s involving no clothing or accessories at all – one in which a thrown-back head tangled in strands of wet hair conveys all the emotion and sensuality needed – that stands out the most.

Niklas Hoejlund’s vision of what a jewellery shoot should be isn’t necessarily like that of other photographer’s. There are no liberal lashings of gold chains or frosty sprinklings of diamonds.
