Vogue Paris’ latest cover feels particularly fresh. A wash of vibrant, saturated blue merging the sea and sky in the background, a bright-eyed, bronzed skinned Andreea Diaconu bikiniless but covered in sand like candy rolled in sugar. And that sea-salt hair… Good choice, Vogue Paris, not to clutter it up with too much text.

Mixing up the styling with punkish smokey eyes, red stilettos and a floral appliquéd dress is the May 2013 issue of Vogue Paris. But it’s not so much the what that will generate interest as the who. Vogue Paris’ new issue features Freja Beha Erichsen, “who has been absent from the magazine since August 2011 and the runway since Spring/Summer 2012, shot by Inez &…

In case you were missing Kate Moss, Vogue Paris has you covered. Moss stars in a shoot titled L’Étoile De Lima celebrating – as does the issue as a whole – the beauty of Peru. Sarajane Hoare’s styling is what underpins the whole series: blending tradition with what’s on trend and giving elegance to a kind of eclectic maximalism. Naturally you need a star-studded cast…

The fates are against Christian Wijnants and I being in the same room at the same time. Owing to a series of unfortunate events I missed both the Woolmark Prize (which he won) and his Paris fashion week show. Thank you flu, and a badly sprained ankle respectively (the latter quite literally happened while on my way to his show.) But thankfully you don’t even…

Our own Daniel P Dykes is well versed in the mathematics of warmth…

With three striking covers featuring three big names of the modelling world (Daria Werbowy, Lara Stone and Kate Moss), Vogue Paris’ September 2012 issue issue was always going to generate some buzz. But more captivating than the names themselves is the noir theme that dominates the issue. A series of shoots by Mert & Marcus explores the theme in different ways, with Kate Moss’ imagery…

The coming winter 2012 fashion season is dominated by two women’s looks: masculinity and the new noir (or the new gothic, if you will). While it was the former that dominated the catwalks, it’s the appeal of the latter that dominates old media and the pictorials they create. Vogue Paris picks up on the vibe as they give their publication a makeover and make noir…

Sex sells. We’ve heard this marketing axiom time and again, but in her most recent campaign – this time for her debut fragrance FAME – megastar Lady Gaga offers up a lot more than simple sex appeal (although there is plenty of that, too).

We have to give credit to Zadig & Voltaire for bringing a little bit of anticipation to the announcement of a new face. Keeping everyone guessing for a while with the below image – which is kind of endearing in its silliness – they managed to generate far more buzz than your usual press release announcement would have done. Well Vogue Paris have now let…
