Yesterday was a rather long day for Fashionising.com’s Allan Barger as it wasn’t just the rehearsals and staging of LMFF‘s (the Melbourne fashion festival) opening function Fashion Full Stop that he got to snap, but also its backstage. For those of you appreciative of the behind-the-scenes beauty shots that fashion weeks so readily offer up to photographers, Allan has put together a small selection of…

Best of 2010: As we leave 2010 behind us, we take a glance back at some of the most popular, most inspiring and most talked-about content from Fashionising.com over the last 12 months. This article was first published on June 14, 2010. If we had to name our favourite redhead bombshell of the present day, Tiah Eckhardt would be well and truly up there. And…

You know by now that I can’t resist featuring the work of Akila Berjaoui. And while this one, like many others, features nudity, it’s the actually the perfect union of lilac flowers against the bold red hair of Tiah Eckhardt that stands out the most.

The super saturated imagery lensed by Elvis Di Fazio for Wheels and Dollbaby’s 2010 fall campaign makes the most of Tiah Eckhardt‘s bombshell red hair. The photographs feature a set of twisted vintage inspired scenarios, our favourite is the nod to cowboys with Tiah mounted haphazardly atop a rocking horse. Sometimes all you need to do to get a feature spot on Fashionising.com is use a gorgeous redhead bombshell in your campaign. We can’t be sure that’s why Eres Lingerie used Australian model Tiah Eckhardt, but sometimes we like to play a little bit towards our own ego. Click the photo above for the full campaign

New Zealand’s No. Magazine is turning out some gems at the moment. There was Tiah Eckhardt’s shoot, then popped up this one by Karen Inderbitzen-Waller, styled by Zara Mirkin. It’s like the models fell into Captain Jack Sparrow’s suitcase and emerged part Mexican, part pirate. At other times the styling hits on gun-totin’ cowboy dressups. And I can’t fault that. Though it’s swimwear we think of when we hear the name White Sands, it wasn’t all bikinis when the label took to the RAFW (Australian fashion week) runway. Beachy summer dresses, pants, and even jumpsuits were presented in matching prints to the bathing suits and bikinis. The overall feeling was relaxed and at times hippy-ish – and fittingly Australian.

Dreamy music, slow walks (facilitated by flat, open toed brogues or sandals), and a big, square catwalk. The pace of Phos Phoro‘s RAFW (Australian fashion week) show suited the etherial whites which were a running theme through the show. Backless white ruffled tops, white shirts or dresses with Broderie Anglaise panels were dreamy – sometimes raw-edged or deconstructed. Later red plaids, spots, or black and…

Samatha Harris looking completely gorgeous, au naturel. Vanessa Milde (pictured below) posing with bronze skin and shimmering white eyeliner. And a closeup of Tiah Eckhardt‘s pinup girl tattoo. That’s what we were busy snapping when we headed backstage at L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) Thursday night, while models were being made up for L’Oreal Paris Runway 6.

Yeojin Bae is a sort of quiet achiever. Since winning the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) designer award back in 2007 she’s continued to develop the sophisticated, womanly style of clothing that is her strength. At this week’s show she brought perfectly form-fitting dresses to the runway – some with interesting cutaway detailing, some with lace panels or ruffled peplums; and some with knock-out corsetry…
