You’ve seen the runway coverage of Stolen Girlfriends Club from RAFW (Australian fashion week); but before the models hit the runway, what did we find backstage? Socks in wedges, Tallulah Morton looking like a Goddess (and dwarfing everyone), models including Sarah Stephens being preened and prettied, the boys behind the label kicking back and giving interviews, and Zippora Seven getting playful with the camera.

Fringed suede and floaty cream pieces matched with tan leather were minimalist-meets-prairie at Flannel‘s RAFW (Australian fashion week) show. Paul Simon’s Graceland made for oddly fitting runway music as country American inspirations shone through in leather shorts and vests and dresses with tasseled hems. While undoubtedly not for everyone, Flannel was for me an RAFW favourite. The pieces are the type that shouldn’t be over-accessorised,…
Stolen Girlfriends Club is like an all-night party: unbridled and full of potential. Any show that can capture the moment’s zeitgeist and inject in into relaxed sporty cuts, intermixed with mini dresses that personify sex, has our vote. And Stolen Girlfriends Club’s debut RAFW (Australian fashion week) show did just that. Every element of the show epitomised the laid-back uber-cool NZ style the label is…
RAFW (Australian fashion week) mightn’t officially kick off until Monday (when we’ll be getting a lucky fashioniser into an invite-only show, see ‘win a ticket to RAFW‘) but dates mean little when you’re showing off clothing that shan’t hit the racks for months to come. Kiwi model Zippora Seven has a sort of grungy appeal that’s kept her in business – though admittedly mostly in publications from Australia and New Zealand. This time it’s for Aussie Yen Magazine‘s 42nd issue, in a beachy shoot titled bay bay, baby.

Looking to make knee high socks a part of your 2010 fashion? Then look to Ruby‘s Winter 2010 look book. It not only features darling of the New Zealand fashion industry, model Zippora Seven, but several takes on the 2010 sock trend.
It’s been quite some time since Kiwi model Zippora Seven caused a stir by appearing nude while underage. Bolstered rather than hindered by the publicity, she’s continued to shine brightly in both editorial and on runways, though mostly close to home. This shoot, named after lyrics from David Bowie’s Shining Star, is soft and feminine, featuring a selection of lingerie in a neutral colour palette.
