Akin to the Circus 120 cutout boots, these Christian Louboutin suede boots fuse the thigh high boots and cut out fashion trends together for an eye catching result.
Remember this little look? A different way to wear the over the knee boots trend, this look is straight off the runway of Isable Marant Autumn(Fall)/Winter 2009/2010. As on the runway, the boots are tucked into loose-fitting python print silk pants.

We loved Rodarte's take on the thigh high boots trend, as did many; but drooling over them and actually getting your hands on a pair are two different things. So here is a simple DIY way to create your own take on the Rodarte style, courtesy of Caroline and adapted slightly by us.

It's the bane of the top end of the fashion industry that if you want the designer looks without the designer price tag one simply need head to the high street. Case in point: these Givenchy look-aline over the knee boots which hit the streets courtesy of Zara.

Her editorials have been amongst the strongest of 2009, and, as such, the influence of model Anja Rubik has risen to stratospheric heights across the year. That's resulted in many a booking for the model, though its her collaboration with label Quazi that ought to be receiving the attention right now. Focused on shoes and accessories, the little know collaboration has its finger on the pulse courtesy of studded heels and thigh high boots.
Pairing with mini-skirt from Acne, a boyfriend blazer from Zara, and an oversized top from Complex Geometries has done these black TopShop over the knee boots a world of justice.

Ok, so I've commented previously on the relative impracticality of luxury thigh high fishing waders; and though we've more than once noted their popularity in magazine editorials, we were still pretty skeptical that they'd be a workable look on the street. As with most things though, there's always an exception to the rule - and today, it turns out to be this lass.

If you're after inspiration for the over the knee and thigh high boots trend then you can't overlook Behati Prinsloo's editorial in Flair magazine. Shot on Santa Monica's iconic beach, it provides more interpretations of one of the key fashion trends for 2010 than most; right from the impossibly high to the outrageously pink. But don't worry, there are plenty of subtle boots too.
Is there a more talented, stand-out shoe designer in the world right now than Nicholas Kirkwood? At times almost alien in their design, Kirkwood's shoes are architectural and fantastical all at the same time. Kirkwood's collection for Rodarte Spring/Summer 2010 has qualities of the industrial, and the dystopian. And with hardware nuts stacked up as the heel and spikes around the ankle, they're also cyberpunk heaven.
