Today the fashion world mourns the death of Korean model Daul Kim - who, at 20 years of age, was found dead yesterday.

Daul was well known to the fashion industry for her striking looks and quirky sense of humour, and garnered a cult following on her blog which she made a final post to titled 'say hi to forever' before her death.

Brazilian beaches. Terry Richardson. Naked models. It's not exactly rocket science to conclude that the release of the 2010 Pirelli calendar would be a much anticipated event.

And so it's finally here; and the results are a little more polished and bright than Richardson's famed style of raw photography.

What do Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova and Helena Christensen have in common? Yep, they're all from the original supermodel flock; they're all still smoking hot; and they're all being brought back out of retirement to help us through the recession. Last but not least, they're all naked on the latest cover of i-D magazine.

And by naked we of course mean in nothing but thigh high boots; it is in the name of fashion, after all.

It's easy to forget that eyebrows have trend cycles of their own; albeit cycles that move much more slowly than other beauty, hair and fashion trends.

While the full and natural, yet still maintained, style of brows have been on-trend for quite some time, the 'in fashion' shape certainly hasn't trended towards pencil thin eyebrows. And that's not about to change. A natural style and shape remains the style to have.

What's changing is the colour. Look hard and you'll see that bleached blonde eyebrows are currently a beauty trend. While no one should go to the extreme of shaving them off and having no eyebrows at all, those bleached to be peroxide blonde are now amongst the growing list of 2010 fashion trends.

Motel is a label that does a particular thing, and does it fantastically well... And that thing is simple, sexy, bang-on-trend dresses. If you peruse their upcoming High Winter 2009 collection, you'll see exactly what we mean. Bodycon dresses in houndstooth and leopard print are the type that need no accessorising to make them stand out. Some of the dress styles are backless or one-shouldered; some are rock-chic supreme, some more elegant twists on the modern little-black-dress.

The thing that really makes Motel a no-brainer are the reasonable price tags. Hit the Motel Rocks website and you can't help but stock up on a whole range of pieces to get you through the season without breaking the bank. Shopping spree heaven.

Featuring some of the most popular current bikini trends, Madame Mode magazine gives us this swimwear shoot. As well as some striking cutaway bikinis and monokinis there's also some great vintage-inspired pieces.

It's the close cousin of the bunny ears trend; and mickey mouse ears are proving nearly as popular of late. Model Chanel Iman does her best Minnie Mouse impersonation, wearing bow headbands and mouse ears, for the December 2009 issue of Vogue Germany.

Beautifully shot in black and white, this photo series of Zuzana Gregorova is one of the less in-your-face examples of nudity in fashion that we've seen of late.

Was ever there a sweeter Wild Thing? Abbey Lee Kershaw endears herself to us even more when she replaces Max in the wolf suit and becomes Queen of the Wild Things for a day.

And while we admit that Dazed & Confused let us down a little with their urban and rather mundane backdrops - particularly when Sendak's imaginative jungles could have so much scope for creative interpretation - we're still mesmerised by both Abbey and the styling. Pamela Love's collaboration with Opening Ceremony (of which this fantastic Wild Things shoot was born) yielded the horned headpieces. Both ferocious and adorable at the same time, the horns carry a fantastical charm akin to that of bunny ears; and add the crowning touch to outfits of Alexander Wang, Miu Miu, Isabel Marant and more.

Let the wild rumpus start...

Looks like Opening Ceremony weren't the only ones to be inspired by the recent film adaptation of Where The Wild Things Are. 'Primal' furs and untamed hair are the main elements of this shoot from the November 2009 issue of Black Book. Titled simply 'Wild Thing', and with its forest scenery and scrawling font, we suspect Black Book was also bitten by the Maurice Sendak/Spike Jonez bug.

Abbey Lee Kershaw has fast become one of my favourite models. And while she can work the grungy, sexy, devil-may-care thing like its nobody's business, she proves that striking beauty is also her forte. Wearing feathers, wide-leg pants, and floor-length gowns - and with a dash of tasteful nudity for good measure - Abbey Lee looks the classic screen siren in a shoot for Vogue Italia.

From tailored trousers to skinny cigarette pants, to ripped jeans and leather leggings; over the past years pants have predominantly been worn in block colours. What's more, they'd become something of a basic: frequently worn as a subtle item, while attention was focussed on increasingly-detailed tops, jackets, dresses, and skirts.

In 2010, pants are getting their own back.
