Oliver Peoples, under head designer Larry Leight, are often credited for the resurgence of the oversized-sunglasses trend. So what can we learn from pieces in their most recent collection?

Unsurprisingly, oversized-sunglasses are still in. The top pair pictured are known as the Leyla and lend themselves perfectly to the trend. Thankfully there’s nothing cheap about the design and they steer well clear of the white-oversized sunglasses trend which we absolutely abhor.

Called Farrell, we’re not as keen on the second pair – blue lenses were popular a few years back and it seems far too soon to see them again. That said, we’re do like the shape of the lenses on these men’s sunnies. There’s a subtle evolution away from the complete aviator style and if it weren’t for the off-colouring we’d certainly snap them up.

Late one Oxford night Daniel P Dykes set about creating a fashion publication that would go someway to being an arbiter on fashion as it appeals to the emerging power generations: those who don't remember a world without the Internet and for whom work plays second fiddle to pleasure. And so Fashionising.com was born as a publication for those who were focussed not just on fashion's trends, but on society's too, and how those trends could all go to heighten the art of living. Hence, Daniel sees a future where, for those young at heart, both fashion and style are grounded in traditional quality, but with a youthful, sensualised edge. Daniel is Fashionising.com's Editor in Chief and Chairman.
