Classic Black, Back with a Twist

Classic Black is still a simple favourite for going out. However ruffles, layers and tassles help to add character to the dresses, as can be seen at this years New York Costume Institute Gala event honouring legendary designer, Paul Poiret.
Kate Moss wore a black dress from the TopShop collection, and Lady Tina (Sir Philip Green's wife) lent her some jewels for the occasion. Lindsay Lohan wore a floor-length black gown of her own.
