Fashionista reports:

“The list of designers with cell phones just got longer: Italian virtuoso Giambattista Valli will get his own roaming signal at Paris Fashion Week, thanks to Nokia.

Mr. Valli follows Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Diane Von Furstenberg, Betsey Johnson, and Baby Phat in designing a new phone and accessories. The phone comes in black or pink, with a satin bow-sewn case and a silver skull charm to dangle from the antenna. It debuts before the Valli show in Paris, and will retail for about $300 in Europe (and eventually, of course, here).

For years, tech companies have been calling cell phones an “accessory,” but the explosion of designer mobiles might actually make it true – do you think teen girls will swap cell phones to match their outfits, the way grown women do with handbags?”

Late one Oxford night Daniel P Dykes set about creating a fashion publication that would go someway to being an arbiter on fashion as it appeals to the emerging power generations: those who don't remember a world without the Internet and for whom work plays second fiddle to pleasure. And so Fashionising.com was born as a publication for those who were focussed not just on fashion's trends, but on society's too, and how those trends could all go to heighten the art of living. Hence, Daniel sees a future where, for those young at heart, both fashion and style are grounded in traditional quality, but with a youthful, sensualised edge. Daniel is Fashionising.com's Editor in Chief and Chairman.
