Kate Moss bringing back the bolero

It was only in recent memory that boleros and capelets made such a strong comeback that they were seen in every wardrobe… But if Kate Moss at Glastonbury is anything to go by, they are to make yet another return.

Though the bolero renaissance of a few years back embraced feminine detail like sequins, beading and lace, Kate has returned to the trend with a decidedly more vintage feel. At Glastonbury she wore two delicately beaded jackets contrasted by shorts and wellies in one outfit, and rock-chic PVC pants and a studded belt in the other.

So strong is Kate Moss’ ability to set trends that we’re betting on seeing more 1920s and 30s style beading and lace creeping its way onto the streets. We’ll be on the lookout.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
