Channelling dishevelled chic, Mary-Kate Olsen was this week seen wearing the only Spring-Summer 2008 shoe trend that matters: the gladiator sandals trend.

Of course, it’s not the first time we’ve seen Mary-Kate in this pair of sandals. We first spotted the patent gladiators sandals gracing her feet back in Spring-Summer 2007, when the trend was more often seen on celebrities than fashionisers on the street.

Mary-Kate also headed out in one what might normally describe as a top equally channelling the sheer trend, but given she didn’t feel the need to do it up all the way and instead has revealed her penchant for lacy, black bras, I don’t feel the need to label it as such.

But being the style-maven that she is, this one-half of the Olsen-twins has thrown in another trend to boot: her trusty pair of round shades, key amongst 2008′s sunglasses trends.

What do you think of this look? Be sure to vote on Mary-Kate’s outfit.

Late one Oxford night Daniel P Dykes set about creating a fashion publication that would go someway to being an arbiter on fashion as it appeals to the emerging power generations: those who don't remember a world without the Internet and for whom work plays second fiddle to pleasure. And so Fashionising.com was born as a publication for those who were focussed not just on fashion's trends, but on society's too, and how those trends could all go to heighten the art of living. Hence, Daniel sees a future where, for those young at heart, both fashion and style are grounded in traditional quality, but with a youthful, sensualised edge. Daniel is Fashionising.com's Editor in Chief and Chairman.
