Elle MacPherson just never seems to age or fall behind. Trading her oft-blonded locks for a more natural golden brown, she appears to be the next in a long line of celebs to get a fringe - one of 2008's definite hair trends.

Tennis star Maria Sharapova is the latest in a long line of celebs to be sporting one of 2008's biggest hair trends, the fringe.

She's paired it with the sheer trend, in this case a nude-coloured dress with black transparent fabric overlaid on top.

They helped redefine women in the 1960s, so you'd expect nothing less from a James Bond girl than to be on trend in 2008. And in November this year that Bond girl will be former model Olga Kurylenko, when she appears as Camille, in the upcoming Quantum of Solace.

2007 was such a big year for hair trends that it's not too hard to see why so many hair trends in 2008 might feel familiar. While 2007 introduced us to the pob, it'll be its cousin the bob that we'll be wearing in 2008. And it's much the same story with the fringe trend: it was already with us at the start of 2007, had lost popularity by mid-year, but was brought back for 2008 by hypermodel Kate Moss in a completely new way.
This year hair trends will range from boy-short crops to natural long tresses, with bobs in-between. We'll also be wearing various shapes of feminine, masculine, and elegant to name but a few, all taking their cues from the same eras as their parent clothing trends. So read on to find out the hair trends you'll be wearing in 2008.
The blunt-cut fringe trend is going from strength to strength at the moment, and ever since Kate Moss got hers it's shown no signs of slowing down. In fact, we're tipping it to be one of the major hair trends for 2008.

Ok, so ponytails and fringes aren't exactly new. But we think Kate Moss looked hot recently wearing her hair up in a fresh schoolgirl-esque ponytail with fringe. Oh yeah, and it might also have something to do with the super-tight black leather jacket and latex pants.

Pobs and bobs are quite commonplace at the moment, but the pixie-crop is that one step more daring. We noticed a few pixie-crops going around though - and Elisha Cuthbert is the latest celebrity to join their ranks.

No, this isn't some flashback post. For that we apologise. But while the rest of women rush out to get 'the Kate', Kate Moss' new fringed hair style, UK 'model' Jordan, aka Katie Price, seems intent on proving that you can never be too eighties, too plastic, or too orange.

Promoting the new Jordan Haircare line recently, Price stepped out to also seemingly promote pink sailor outfits and terrible hair styles. What that says about the haircare products heaven can only know.
We've told you how to get the Kate Moss fringe including who should try it, and how to style it. For more styling ideas check out Kate posing for her latest Rimmel campaign.
