
One of the noted fall/winter fashion trends for 2009, the plaid fashion trend can be worn in a variety of ways. Mischa Barton mixed a black and white plaid skirt with a fringed black jacket (a touch of the Bohemian luxe trend) while out and about recently.

Get out your credit cards and book a gym membership ladies because, as if muffin top wasn't a scary enough prospect, here comes the Spring/Summer 2009 exposed midriff fashion trend.

The tuxedo trend has been a huge hit in 2008. The tuxedo or dinner jacket has probably crept its way into so many a wardrobe this year that it will carry on into 2009 as less of a trend and as more of an every-day staple, thrown nonchalantly over ripped jeans or graceful minidresses alike.
To the contrary, Dita Von Teese went all out with the trend at a recent outing in Paris.
Country chic skipped into many a winter wardrobe this year, with plaids being a major element. A successor to the lumberjack trend that swept through the earlier part of the year, plaid as one of the big Autumn (Fall)/Winter 2008/2009 fashion trends is much more demure.

We know Katie Holmes has really been pushing the boyfriend jeans trend of late. This time, she merged in another of this summer's trends; ripped denim.
