The Olsen twins are still pushing round John Lennon-esque sunglasses as a sunglasses trend, though we've seen very few other examples of the style. Mary-Kate Olsen looked great in a black and gold kaftan-style dress and black pointed pumps for an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman.

Didn't believe us in our shoe trends guide when we said we'd be seeing more square-toed shoes? It's picking up, with Dita Von Teese joining Gwyneth Paltrow by stepping out in this trend.
What do you think of the square shoe trend? Vote on Dita's outfit here.
Showing off one shoulder in an asymmetrical dress is one of the year's hottest trends. Claudia Schiffer apparently loves the single-shoulder trend so much that she wore this Versace number in not one, but two, colours.
What do you think of Claudia's take on the trend? I love the addition of the brooch to the navy version of the dress - but the single shoulder would have been even sexier with hair up to show it off more. Remember that this trend is all about (subtly, but sexily), showing some skin!
Sienna Miller was snapped at LAX airport wearing a combination of this year's sunglasses trends: plastic frames and gradient lenses. What do you think - would you vote a yes, or a no?

As one of 2008's shoe and boot trends, the lace-up shoe / bootie has taken off in a big way. Kate moss wore a pointy pair while this pair of Nicole Richie's was a hit.
So it comes as no real surprise then that fashionable duo Sienna Miller and Keira Knightley were both wearing the trend at this week's photo-call for their new film, The Edge of Love.
We didn't have them as one of our 2008 hair trends; but the milk-maid braid seems to be making a bit of a comeback in celebrity circles. As a result we're wondering if it's popularity will grow, making it a fashion trend in 2009?
This is a cute style that can be pulled off my many, but there's one minor problem: you either need really long hair, or a very well-matched hair piece.
Gucci really rocked their A/W 08-09 collection with a Russian-gypsy-meets-bohemian-babe type of feel. Part of the look was fringed boots - both ankle-height in suede, and over-the-knee in leather. And they weren't the only ones - Anna Sui and Balmain were also rocking fringed boots. But what do you think of Mischa's take on the folk-inspired fringed boot trend - one of 2008-2009's upcoming trends?
Somehow, Mischa Barton's Pocahontas style boots aren't quite evoking the same response as those on the Gucci runway. What do you think?
Doutzen Kroes has spent the better part of 2008 globe-trotting, all the while looking fabulous while doing it. Back in May the supermodel could be found in Cannes, attending the best showings and parties the Cannes Film Festival had to offer. Naturally she was perfectly on trend wearing a single-shouldered dress to a photo call at the Martinez Hotel.

While Agy has been dropped from Burberry (for apparently being over exposed), and ends up in our Celebrity... What The? thread, she's also sporting a trend we've been seeing a little bit of lately - ready to take a guess? It's the ripped denim trend of course.
So is it good or is adding to her uhhh... over exposure? Also does it look better on Natasha Poly?
It's not completely backless or as low-cut as some of the other backless trend examples we've seen, but Megan Fox's white and silver mini-dress certainly captured the essence of highlighting one's back.
