European Catwalks have paraded suspenders for quite some time now, as can be seen with Luella and Karen Walker snaps, taken back in 2006. But suspenders have been the topic of some controversy. It's either you love them or you hate them. Personally, I think that suspenders worn the right way can look uber modern and cool - particularly if worn loose in a grey or a black colour with buttons and a skirt. But if worn the wrong way, you can wind up looking like your grandpa.
We've already had some discussion around whether Kate Moss is bringing back flares - and of course we pretty much concluded that if she's wearing them, they're going to resurface as a trend. The current breed of flared jean is skinny but with a kicked-out flare at the ankle; a much sleeker take than the wide-leg, and only a small step away from the skinny jeans we've all become so attached to.

The theme is black, black and more black, the cuts are bold and seductive. Greta Constantine's latest lookbook hit our inbox the other day and it's a paradox of striking monochromes and glamourous jerseys. These guys prove that you don't necessarily need colour and luxe fabrics to make evening wear stand out.

Not long ago, we wrote about how hair styles have been changing over time, with Jennifer Anistons hairstyle being left behind.
Now Rihanna has come out with a blunt concave bob cut, which I think looks great. It is a very drastic change, but it is edgy and grabbing compared to her softer lock look. The blonde tips looked too washed out and have thankfully been replaced with midnight black which enhances her tanned skin.

We've been following the revival of rock and heavy metal tees, having spotted stars like Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, the Olsen Twins and Jessica Simpson wearing them.

We've mentioned that the Maxidress trend is on the rise, in stark contrast to the minidress trend that came before it (and which, frankly, we prefer in so far as casual wear is concerned.) In any case, maxi dresses and skirts are still creeping their way, slowly but surely, into the wardrobes of celebrities.

Jessica Simpson wears an orange maxi dress, Keira Knightley, and Rachel Bilson out and about in a floral maxi skirt.
For all of our readers on the sunny side of the world, you have no doubt been thinking about summer and which bathers or bikinis to wear as you hit the waves.
Well there has been quite a comeback from the "monokini" - a cutout one-piece swimsuit that has the sexiness of the bikini, but leaves a little more to the imagination. There are heaps of differing varieties and styles, everything from your basic cut at Target to designer glam that you could wear by the pool with heels. So which would you prefer, a teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini or are you taking the switch to the one piece monokini?

For those with their finger on the pulse they were a major feature of last summer, but we haven't seen much in the way of gladiator sandals this time around. The exception is, of course, Mary-Kate Olsen who was spotted about in a Chanel pair recently.

So, we've noted that Metallic Heels are a sure trend at the moment. But what about their more practical sibling, the metallic flat?

Kate Moss, Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie are all fans of metallic flats.
Ashley Olsen was spotted wearing her chucks with leggings, a leather jacket, and an oversized bag.
