Roland Mouret?s ?Galaxy? dress hit the racks in 2005, it quickly became a favorite in the celebrity world - with stars like Rachel Weisz, Keira Knightley, Scarlett Johannson and Naomi Watts stepping out in the creation. Word spread about the figure-shaping properties of the dress, and it became famed for supposedly turning any women into a 50s-style sex-kitten complete with Marilyn-esque hourglass.
Since Roland Mouret?s dress became the most coveted dress around, a multitude of copies and variations have popped up around the world. The latest: Marks and Spencers "MagicWear" range, which claims to mimic all the body-shaping properties, only without the designer price-tag.
It may not look much - but this review by the Telegraph was glowing. For prices ranging from ?65, the price is certainly a plus.

Tailored shorts are showing their versatility, moving easily between the warm and the chilly seasons. Whether short and light and worn with bare-legs, or cosy, heavy tweed worn with opaque tights... tailored shorts are a definite trend.

No girl can get by right now without a waist-cinching belt or two to top off any outfit. Kate Moss has perfected and popularised the look; Victoria Beckham even got the belt part down pat; and it's easy to take the look from day to night.

The androgynous trend is one that has popped up recently in a fresh and sexy form. Far from the shoulder-padded power-suits of the 80s, today?s look is more boyish than manly, and has far more charm.
But Sir Paul Smith, who's Autumn/Winter 06-07 collection epitomises the look, warns that nobody should take the trend too literally. "Androgyny doesn't have to mean a buttoned-up shirt, a tie and a blazer," he says. "You could wear a big masculine coat with a little vintage lacy shirt, for example, or a little lace dress with a large sweater."
